New Zealand tourism was on a high this past summer!

New Zealand tourism was on a high this past summer! Figures recently released by Statistics New Zealand show a 5.4% increase of international visitors to our country compared to the previous summer (November-March). This is an increase of 50,767 more tourists arriving into the country during this time. The bumper summer season saw a total of 1,302 473 people arrive onto our shores.
The growth in tourist numbers has been attributed to the strong "100% Pure New Zealand" advertising campaign around the world and very high customer satisfaction, leading many visitors to recommend New Zealand as a destination to their friends and family.
Tourism operators have their fingers crossed that the new extension to daylight savings will see another increase in tourists and locals alike as the summer season stretches out another 3 weeks.
