Day 3 Sydney - Hunter Valley
Commence your drive to the Famous Hunter Valley, through the scenic
wine country. You may like to stop at a couple of wineries along the way.

Day 4 Hunter Valley – Port Macquarie Today spend the day exploring some of the great boutique wineries of the
Hunter Valley. Then join the Pacific Highway and take the scenic route
through the Great Lakes. Pass Taree and follow the white sand coastline

Day 5 Port Macquarie – Coffs Harbour
Depart Port Macquarie and rejoin the Pacific Highway. Travel via
Kempsey and Nambucca Heads to arrive at Coffs Harbour

Day 6 Coffs Harbour – Byron Bay
Depart Coffs Harbour via South Grafton and Maclean. At Maclean, an
interesting detour may be taken by joining the coast raod to Yamba. Yamba

for lunch. Leaving Yamba, rejoin the Pacific Highway at Maclean and travel
via the town of Woodburn to Ballina. At Ballina, again leave the
Highway and travel along the coast rad through the pretty resort town of Lennox ,
Byron Bay.

Day to spend exploring Byron Bay.
Explore Byron Bay and its surrounds at your leisure. Local activities abound,
from tandem gliding and parachute jumps to kayaking, surfing, bicycling or

divers amazing scenery. Walk to the top of the Cape for stunning coastal views.

Day 12 Hervey Bay – Rockhampton
Today you will travel from Hervery Bay to Rockhampton - 310 miles
You will have a very pleasant drive through wide open farm and beef cattle
country today. Detour off the highway to Gladstone, famous for its seafood.
It's a great place to have lunch and try their famous mud crab. Continue north to
Rockhampton. Depending on your arrival time you might like to take a drive out to
the resort town of Yeppoon. Take a walk along the charming esplanade with its
palm trees and a great view of the sea, sky and islands.

Day 13 Rockhampton - Airlie Beach
Today you will travel from Rockhampton to Airlie Beach - 404 miles
En route, you might like to take a walk around Llewellyn Bay and view all the
marine like in the rock pools around the area. We recommend a detour to
Eungella National Park - high above the surronding plains, Eungella's mist-shrouded, forest clad mountains are home to some very unusual plants and
animals. Enjoy a stop at Sky window in Eungella to see the spectacular views
over Pioneer Valley. Eungella is great for bushwalking. Explore the rainforest
along the discovery trail or take a longer walk. There are some beautiful waterfalls along the tracks

Mange ice cream is not to be missed
